Nice to meet you - I'm Suzie.
Born and bred in Melbourne, I am an avid artist, traveler, designer and spiritual and mindset activist. I built this brand as a testament to women across the country struggling with the "sticks and stones" of life.
Sticks and Stones is a crystal mindfulness brand where I share my passions, experiences and spiritual findings with you all in order to help other women find a deeper connection to themselves and their lives, inspire passion, transformation and empowerment.
But you wonder - "Suzie, why crystals? Surely you could have done coaching or became a therapist?"
Well that, my friend, is where we jump into my story...
Can A Pretty Little Rock Really Change Your Life?
This is actually a very complex question - and I would say, personally I think the answer can be either 'Yes' or 'No'. But for me, at least, it was a 'Yes'.
As much as I consider myself a deeply emotive and spiritual person, I can't say do yoga every day, sometimes I go months without meditating and sometimes I just have zero energy left in me. Life can get the best of all of us... Stuff happens.
My connection with these fascinating stones wasn't instantaneous. I had several crystals laying around that I never really knew what to do with. And honestly, I didn't pay them much mind.
Eventually, a time came in my life where my health plummeted. It wasn't the first time I had experienced one of these debilitating lows, but it was certainly one of the worst. I consider it the worst, because throughout my life so far I had cultivated a skill set of mental, emotional and spiritual tools that I had been able to use when times got rough.
But for some reason, this time around - nothing was working! Meditation, Nervous System resets, CBT, Therapy, Schedules, Rest. Nothing.
I was in a pitiful state until I moved into a new house. A girl living there had an amazing blue aura quartz necklace. She told me about her journey and experiences, and how she came across her crystal.
Afterwards, in the safety of my room, I dusted off a little Rose Quartz and sat with it on my heart, just breathing for a while. And as strange as it was, I felt peace. I felt acceptance. I felt a little better.
You may want to call it a placebo, but since then I have done my own research, personal experiments and exploration of these fascinating gems and their connection to both us and our spiritual world. I've been able to unlock the mysteries they hold within, as well as share my wisdom with others and help them align with their own journey to wellness.
I think this modern world is calling us to embrace an easier way of living. A healing way of living. An inspiring way of living. It's calling us to evolve and transform through our pain and hardship. To create a world where we can be our free, flawless and authentic selves.
So came the rise of Sticks + Stones Creative. Here, We empower women to rise above life's hurdles, shedding negativity like dust and emerging stronger, more confident, and radiant.
